Wendy’s six Employee Resource Groups help create opportunities for learning, inclusion, career growth and leadership development for Company employees. With the guidance of a senior leadership team sponsor, Employee Resource Groups are dedicated to the development of their members and ensuring representation when it comes to key decisions, such as benefits enhancements, creating connections among our employees and engaging with the local community.
In 2020, Wendy’s restaurant operations changed significantly and quickly as we all worked together to support public health directives. We took several precautionary steps to protect our team members and customers from the spread of COVID-19 by implementing new restaurant protocols. Though the pandemic affected communities around the globe in different ways, our priorities were clear: create a safe environment for our team members and customers, support our people, help our franchise community and give back to the communities where we operate restaurants.
Wendy’s is committed to setting our Company employees up for success. In addition to supporting their professional development goals through enhanced training and development opportunities, we work to create and maintain a supportive culture in the workplace and beyond. In 2017, we launched a fund designed to provide short-term financial assistance to Company and franchise employees in need.
Wendy’s has built a strong culture of recognition at every level. Our restaurant teams remain dedicated to supporting one another and our customers, and our Wendy’s family has made it a priority to let these teams know how much we appreciate them through platforms like the Top General Manager and Make Your Mark awards. Wendy’s as a company is also the proud recipient of several industry awards.
