Peter Koumas

Peter Koumas has served as Wendy’s Vice President, Planning and Financial Analysis since March 2023. He is responsible for leading all Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis work, financial analysis related to Marketing, Digital, Operations and Technology, along with driving the Company’s Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Prior to this, Peter was Chief Financial Officer, International and Development Finance. He has also held roles in Treasury and Investor Relations since he joined Wendy’s in 2012 and has contributed to a number of significant accomplishments.

He supported the execution of the Company’s first Whole Business Securitization financing in 2015, raising $2.3B and led the planning and execution of the 2017 Wendy’s Investor Day. More recently he has supported key growth initiatives like the Company’s expansion into the United Kingdom, the creation of the Company’s $100M Strategic Build to Suit Development Fund, and the launch of breakfast in Canada in 2022.

Prior to Wendy’s, Peter worked at Citigroup in their Portfolio Accounting division.

A native of Dublin, Ohio, he remembers riding his bike to his nearest Wendy’s as a kid to order Chicken Nuggets and a Frosty. These days, his favorite Wendy’s food is on the breakfast menu – a Sausage, Egg and Swiss Croissant with Seasoned Potatoes.

Peter holds a B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from The Ohio State University. He is also a Certified Treasury Professional (inactive).
