Wendy’s Connection to Foster Care Adoption

Wendy's founder, Dave Thomas, was adopted as a child. He carried that experience with him throughout his life, with a strong desire to help other children in Foster Care find their forever homes.

Which is why, in 1992, Dave also founded the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. And it's no coincidence that for nearly 30 years, Wendy's has been supporting and advocating for children in the North American Foster Care system through cause marketing and fundraising efforts.

We're working on bringing you, our customers, a website with educational resources to bring even more awareness to how customer dollars are helping support these children. You're encouraged to check back in a few weeks for a new "wendys.com/adoption" experience.

In the meantime, visit our blog, The Square Deal, to learn more about how Wendy's supports children in foster care and watch the success stories below.
