Wendy’s has six volunteer Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) dedicated to creating opportunities for learning, inclusion, career growth and leadership development for Company employees.
With the guidance of a senior leadership team sponsor, ERGs are dedicated to the development of their members and ensuring their voice is heard when it comes to decisions that affect Wendy’s people, such as benefits enhancements, creating connections among Wendy’s employees and engaging with the local community. While these resource groups were formerly only available to employees in our Dublin Restaurant Support Center, remote work has expanded our reach and allowed for other Wendy’s employees not based in the Dublin Restaurant Support Center to log in and participate.
Illustrating the valuable role that Employee Resource Groups play in creating a supportive environment, Wendy’s Equality Resource Group helped to identify opportunities to provide more inclusive benefit options. These suggestions helped Wendy’s achieve a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2021 and 2022 Corporate Equality Index, the premier benchmarking survey in the U.S. to measure workplace environments that promote LGBTQ+ equality.
These Employee Resource Groups each boast an active membership and encourage participation of members and allies in sponsored activities. In 2022, we launched the Wendy’s Parents & Caregivers Employee Resource Group, providing a forum for discussions focused on family and caregiving challenges, as well as information to ensure employees can take full advantage of Wendy’s Employee Assistance Program. This group also created a “Having a Baby Guide,” which provides helpful information for employees before or after the birth or adoption of a child.
Women of Wendy’s enables women to be their best selves and fosters authentic relationships by facilitating and sponsoring increased visibility for women within the organization.
Wendy’s Equality Resource Group promotes a welcoming, diverse and respectful work environment for LGBTQ+ employees and their allies.
Wendy’s Young Professional Resource Group connects the next generation of Wendy’s leaders to each other and the community, fosters personal development and promotes professional development linked to individual career goals.
Wendy’s Veterans Resource Group provides development opportunities to its members, fosters a veteran and military family community at Wendy’s and supports transitioning military talent. Learn more about Wendy’s support for U.S. military veterans.

Wendy’s GiveCare supports caretakers for children, siblings, parents, partners and/or other family members by creating a safe space for sharing lived experiences and discussing issues faced by working caregivers, as well as providing support and resources to caregivers and allies within Wendy’s and helping foster a caregiver-friendly culture and environment.
